  • Enter a name for your group (e.g., “Roommates”, “Trip to Paris”)
  • Optionally add a description to help identify the group's purpose
  • Click “Create” and your new group is ready

You can create unlimited groups for different purposes - trips, households, events, or projects.

3

Invite Members

Invite others to join your group and split expenses:

  • Open your group and click the “Invite Member” button
  • Copy the unique invite link or send email invitations through the modal
  • Anyone with the link can join the group after signing in
  • Members can view all expenses and balances within the group

Tip: Each group has its own unique invite link. You can also enable a public link in group settings for view-only access.

4

Add Expenses

Record expenses as they happen:

  • In your group, click “Add Expense”
  • Enter the expense details:
    • Description (e.g., “Dinner at Joe's”)
    • Amount (in your preferred currency)
    • Who paid for the expense
    • Date of the expense
  • Select who participated in the expense (who should split the cost)
  • Choose the split type:
    • Equal: Split evenly among participants
    • Percentage: Each person pays a specific %
    • Amount: Specify exact amounts per person
5

Edit or Delete Expenses

Made a mistake? No problem:

  • Find the expense in your group's expense list
  • Click on the expense to open its details
  • Click “Edit” to modify any details - amount, description, participants, or split type
  • Click “Delete” to remove the expense entirely (cannot be undone)

All changes update balances instantly for all group members.

Track Balances & Settle Up

See who owes what at a glance:

  • The Balances tab shows the net amount each member owes or is owed
  • Positive balance = someone owes you; Negative = you owe someone
  • View simplified settlement suggestions - the minimum number of transactions needed to settle all debts
  • Record settlements when payments are made to keep balance history accurate
